Man, Rise To The Challenge on SNES is one of those games that looks simple at first—just another pixelated platformer—but then suddenly you're sweating over jumps you swore you timed right. The first level lulls you in with basic enemies and some easy gaps, but by stage 3, you're dodging fireballs while trying not to fall into pits, and it feels fair even when you die.
The sprites have that chunky, colorful SNES charm, and the music’s got this weirdly catchy synth beat that sticks in your head. I remember getting stuck on this one ice level for ages because the sliding physics are just slippery enough to mess with your timing. Not gonna lie, it’s frustrating in the best way—the kind where you mutter "one more try" at 2 AM.
If you dig old-school platformers that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a blast from the past worth dusting off.
