Renegade is a side-view beat 'em up video game originally released for the MS-DOS platform in 1988. It was developed by Technos Japan Corp. and published by Taito America Corporation. The game is a western adaptation of the Japanese title Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun, with its visual style and settings drawing noticeable inspiration from the 1979 film The Warriors.

Players control a protagonist who must fight through urban environments to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend. The adventure is divided into five distinct levels, which progress through locations such as subway stations, docks, and city streets. The core gameplay involves navigating these areas from a side perspective and engaging in hand-to-hand combat against numerous adversaries that appear on screen.

The combat system offers a variety of offensive maneuvers, including punches, kicks, headbutts, and flying kicks. It introduced several mechanics that were advanced for the genre at the time, such as the ability to attack enemies positioned behind the player character, grab opponents, and attack foes who have been knocked to the ground. The game's portrayal of violence is stylized and incorporates elements of humor throughout its stages.
