Oh man, Ren & Stimpy: Buckeroos! is one of those weird SNES games that totally nails the show's chaotic energy. You're basically running through these bizarre levels as Ren or Stimpy (or both), collecting golden cowboy buckeroos while dodging everything from angry cows to sentient toothpaste. The controls are a little slippery—classic early SNES platformer jank—but the art style and animations perfectly capture that gross-out cartoon vibe.
First level throws you right into a desert canyon full of cacti that spit seeds at you, and yeah, Stimpy's flutter jump feels ridiculous until you get used to it. Some of the sound effects are ripped straight from the show, which is a nice touch if you're a fan. Not gonna lie, it's not the most polished platformer out there, but if you grew up watching Ren lose his mind over rubber nipples, it's weirdly charming.
Also, the bonus rounds where you have to mash buttons to inflate Ren's head until it pops? Absolutely unhinged in the best way.
