When a player lands on or near an opponent's position, they can initiate cannon-based combat, resolved through dice rolls to determine success. Victorious players claim booty from their rivals and secure the board position, while defeat results in penalties and necessitates ship repairs. Beyond the core movement and combat systems, the game incorporates trivia elements, presenting players with multiple-choice questions on pirate-related topics, including literature, films, and historical or geographical facts about the Caribbean region.
