About Rap Basketball (proto)
Rap Basketball was a prototype released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992 by American Softworks. It appeared during a time when the SNES library was expanding with various sports titles, and this one attempted to blend basketball with a music themed presentation.
You control a team of players on a standard basketball court, aiming to outscore your opponent. The game incorporates a rhythm based element where your dribbling and passing are timed to a beat, and performing successful moves builds a meter for special shots. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty comes from maintaining your timing under defensive pressure.
