Ranma 1/2: Akanekodan Teki Hihou is one of those weird, Japan-only SNES beat 'em ups based on the classic anime. You pick from Ranma (guy or girl form, because of course), Akane, or Ryoga and punch your way through waves of goofy enemies—somehow it all ties into a treasure hunt. The sprites are chunky and colorful, and the combat’s simple but satisfying once you figure out the special moves (good luck without a guide).
It’s got that classic 90s anime game jank—awkward platforming sections, questionable hitboxes—but if you’re into Ranma 1/2, it’s a fun little time capsule. Just don’t expect a deep fighter. The music’s catchy though, and there’s something hilarious about beating up random thugs as a girl who turns into a guy when splashed with water.
