Radical Rex came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Beam Software. It was part of that wave of early 90s platformers where every character, even a skateboarding dinosaur, seemed to get their own adventure. The game doesn't try to reinvent the genre, but it has a specific, slightly offbeat energy that makes it memorable.

You control Rex, a green dinosaur who rides a skateboard through prehistoric levels. Your main goal is to rescue your dinosaur friends from cages scattered across each stage. The core gameplay involves running and jumping from screen to screen, using your skateboard to build up speed for long jumps and to bash through certain enemies and blocks. You also have a fire breath attack for dealing with foes at a distance. The levels are packed with enemies and environmental hazards, making for a fairly brisk and sometimes challenging pace. It feels like a straightforward, energetic romp where you're constantly in motion, trying to keep your momentum going on that skateboard.
