Race Drivin' on SNES is one of those early 90s racing games that somehow feels both janky and weirdly satisfying. The cars handle like they're on ice half the time—good luck nailing those hairpin turns without spinning out—but once you get the hang of it, there's something oddly hypnotic about shaving seconds off your lap times.

The tracks are basic, the graphics are blocky (even for SNES), and the physics make zero sense when you crash. But man, that cockpit view with the wobbly steering wheel animation? Pure nostalgia. You’ll either love it for its rough edges or rage-quit after the fifth spinout. No in-between.

It’s not the best racer on the system, but if you’re into weird retro driving sims, this one’s got a strange charm. Just don’t expect anything close to realism.
