Man, Puzzle Bobble on SNES is pure 90s nostalgia in the best way. You’ve got those little bubble dragons Bub and Bob, and the whole thing just oozes charm—bright colors, bouncy music, and that satisfying *pop* when you clear a chain. At first, it seems simple—just match three bubbles of the same color—but then the ceiling starts creeping down, and suddenly you’re sweating over every shot.
What I love is how it tricks you into thinking it’s chill, then ramps up the pressure. One wrong angle, and you’re stuck with a mess of bubbles about to hit the bottom. The controls feel tight, though, and there’s something weirdly satisfying about banking shots off the walls to hit that one tricky cluster. It’s the kind of game where you say “one more round” and suddenly it’s 2 AM.
If you missed this back in the day, it’s still a blast—simple to pick up, hard to put down. Just don’t blame me when you start seeing bubbles in your sleep.
