About Putty Squad (europe)
Putty Squad was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in Europe, developed by System 3. It arrived during a time when the SNES was well established, offering another take on the colorful, cartoonish platformers that defined the console's library.
You control a blue, stretchy putty character, navigating a series of single-screen levels. Your main goal is to rescue your fellow putties, who are trapped in cages scattered throughout each stage. Your putty can stretch and flatten to squeeze through narrow passages, and you can inflate yourself to float gently across gaps. You also collect various power-ups, like bombs and springs, to overcome enemies and obstacles. The game moves at a brisk pace, and some levels require quick thinking to avoid hazards. It feels like a puzzle box you have to squish and stretch your way through.
