About Push-over
Push-Over came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Red Rat Software. It was one of those quirky puzzle games that showed up in the early 90s, a time when developers were experimenting with all sorts of ideas on the new 16-bit hardware. You didn't hear about it as much as the big platformers or RPGs, but it had a unique premise that made it stand out.
You control an ant named Agent 004, and your job is to topple long rows of dominos by pushing the first one. The main objective is to clear each screen by making every domino fall, but you have to figure out the correct sequence and path. The signature mechanics involve navigating the domino structures, sometimes using items like umbrellas to cross gaps or avoiding hazards that can stop the chain reaction. The game requires careful planning; a single wrong push means restarting the stage. It feels satisfying when you finally see the whole line tumble in a perfect cascade after puzzling it out.
