Psycho Dream is one of those weird, forgotten SNES games that feels like playing someone else’s fever dream. You start off in this eerie, shifting world where nothing makes sense—one minute you’re jumping across floating platforms, the next you’re fighting some nightmare blob with too many eyes. The controls take a second to get used to, but once you do, the movement has this weirdly satisfying weight to it.
The art style is all moody blues and purples, like a VHS tape left out in the rain, and the music? Super unsettling in the best way. It’s not the hardest game out there, but the sheer strangeness of it sticks with you. If you’re into obscure 16-bit stuff that feels like it shouldn’t exist, this one’s worth digging up.
