Princess Maker - Legend of Another World is one of those weirdly addictive SNES life sims where you basically play as a fairy godparent. You adopt this little girl and spend years shaping her into—well, whatever you want, really. Assign her to sword training and she might become a warrior; push her toward music lessons and she’ll turn into a bard. Or just let her slack off eating sweets all day and see what happens (spoiler: not great).
The schedule system feels like a mix between a time management puzzle and a parenting simulator—do you make her study magic even though she’s clearly miserable, or let her goof around with friends? The pixel art’s charmingly detailed, especially when she grows up and her outfits change based on her stats. It’s in Japanese, but menus are simple enough to fumble through. Just don’t be surprised when you get weirdly invested in her final career outcome.
