Ever wanted to raise a princess from childhood to adulthood? Princess Maker - Legend Of Another World on SNES is basically a parenting sim, but with way more magic swords and royal drama. You start with this little kid—your job is to train her, teach her skills (archery? etiquette? who knows), and basically decide if she grows up to be a warrior queen or, I dunno, a bard who sings about her own adventures.
The first few hours are all about balancing her schedule—do you make her study all day or let her wander the kingdom picking fights with goblins? There’s something weirdly satisfying about watching her stats creep up over time, even if half the choices feel like gambles. And yeah, the pixel art is super charming, especially when she comes home covered in dirt from some random adventure.
Fair warning: it’s one of those games where you’ll reload saves just to see what happens if you make her take dance lessons instead of sword training. The endings are all over the place, and half the fun is seeing how badly (or brilliantly) things turn out. If you’re into old-school life sims with a fantasy twist, this one’s a hidden gem.
