Prince of Persia on SNES is one of those games that looks simple at first—until you realize how much precision it demands. You start off in a dungeon, and right away, the traps make you second-guess every jump. One wrong move, and those spikes don’t mess around.
The sword fights feel weighty—you can’t just button-mash your way through. Timing matters, and enemies actually block or counter if you’re sloppy. The animation still holds up, too—the way the prince flips over gaps or rolls under blades is weirdly satisfying.
And the puzzles? Some of them had me stuck longer than I’d like to admit. Pressure plates, hidden doors, that one level where you have to outrun rising water… it’s brutal in the best way. If you’ve got the patience for old-school difficulty, this one’s a classic for a reason.
