Prince of Persia: The Persian Secret Passage on SNES is one of those games that just feels classic the moment you start playing. You’re dropped right into this shadowy palace, sword in hand, with guards lunging at you from the get-go. The animation is so smooth—watching the prince flip over traps or cling to ledges never gets old.
What really gets me is how tense it is. One wrong jump, and you’re impaled on spikes. Misjudge a sword swing, and suddenly you’re cornered by two guys in turbans. And those potions? Half the time I drink one hoping for health and end up poisoned instead. Classic.
It’s not all combat, though. There’s something weirdly satisfying about figuring out the timing on those pressure-plate puzzles or discovering hidden rooms behind what looked like solid walls. Just don’t expect mercy—this game came from an era where "trial and error" was basically the tutorial.
If you’ve got the patience for old-school difficulty and a soft spot for pixelated Persian vibes, this one’s still worth booting up.
