Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday is one of those weird, late-era SNES platformers that feels like it got lost in the rental store shelves. You play as Porky—yes, the stuttering Looney Tunes pig—navigating through his own nightmares, which mostly involve dodging ghosts, jumping over bottomless pits, and collecting keys like some kind of cartoon fever dream.
The controls are a little stiff (Porky doesn’t exactly move like Mario), but there’s something charming about the bizarre level designs—haunted mansions, creepy forests, even a level where you ride mine carts while avoiding floating skulls. The music’s got that classic SNES spooky vibe too, all warbly organs and eerie chimes.
It’s not the best platformer on the system, but if you’re into offbeat licensed games or just want to see Porky Pig face off against a giant spider, it’s a weird little time capsule.
