Populous II on SNES is one of those god games where you shape the land and mess with mortals—except this time, you're dealing with Greek gods. Zeus, Hades, and the gang are all here, and they don’t play nice. You start off with a tiny patch of land and a handful of followers, but if you raise enough mountains or drown enemies in floods, you might just earn some divine favor.

It’s slower than modern strategy games, but there’s something satisfying about watching your little worshippers scramble around while you drop disasters on them. The terrain editing feels clunky at first, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be carving rivers and flattening hills like a petty deity with a grudge.

Fair warning: the AI doesn’t pull punches. If you leave your people undefended, the other gods will smite them into oblivion before you can say "Olympus."
