Pokemon : The First Day Game

Pokémon: The First Day is one of those weird little ROM hacks that throws you right into the action—no slow intro, no endless tutorials. You wake up in your room, but something's off. The dialogue's different, the starters aren't the usual three, and before you know it, you're battling a wild Pikachu in tall grass with just a level 2 whatever-you-picked. No hand-holding here.
The sprites are classic GBA-era, but someone clearly messed with the color palette—everything's got this slightly washed-out look, like an old VHS tape. Battles play out like normal, but the wild encounters feel... aggressive? Ran into a level 10 Geodude before I even hit the first town. Had to reset twice.
It's rough around the edges, but there's something charming about how unpredictable it is. You'll either love the chaos or nope out after the third unfair KO. Either way, it's a trip.
