Play Pokemon : Rocket Science Online

I picked up Pokemon: Rocket Science for the Game Boy Advance a while back. It was released in 2000, though I'm not entirely sure who developed it. It fits right in with that era of GBA games, where developers were experimenting with the hardware, creating these unique side stories that expanded on the main Pokemon universe. It's one of those titles you find by digging through old forums rather than on a store shelf.

In the game, you control a new Team Rocket recruit, and your main job is to carry out missions for the organization. Instead of catching Pokemon to battle gym leaders, you're stealing them, sabotaging labs, and causing trouble across the region. The gameplay is mission-based; you get an assignment, then you explore areas screen by screen, avoiding trainers and security to complete your objective. You have to use different items and gadgets to create diversions or bypass obstacles. The pacing is deliberate, and it can be quite difficult, as getting caught means failing the mission. Playing it feels like you're the antagonist in the Pokemon world, which is a refreshing and slightly tense change of pace.
