Pokemon Mega Evo Red & Green Game

Pokémon Mega Evo Red & Green is a GBA romhack that mashes up the classic Red/Green experience with modern Mega Evolutions—yeah, the ones from X/Y. At first, I thought it’d just be a lazy reskin, but nope, they actually reworked the whole thing. You still start in Pallet Town with the usual trio of starters, but now Charizard can go Mega right after the Elite Four, and even some unexpected Pokémon like Beedrill get the treatment.
The sprites are updated just enough to feel fresh without losing that nostalgic Game Boy vibe, and the difficulty’s tweaked so Brock doesn’t completely steamroll you if you picked Charmander (though it’s still rough). Wild encounters are shuffled too—found a Ralts before the second gym, which was a nice surprise. If you’ve played the originals to death but want something familiar with a twist, this one’s a solid pick.
