Pokémon Creepy Black is one of those weird, unsettling ROM hacks that takes the familiar Pokémon formula and twists it into something darker. You still start with your usual starter choice, but the vibe shifts fast—the overworld's got this eerie filter, NPCs say unsettling stuff, and even the wild encounters feel off. Battles play out normally at first, until you notice some of the sprites are... not quite right.

It’s a demo, so don’t expect a full game, but the atmosphere alone makes it worth poking around if you’re into creepy Pokémon mods. The unofficial update smooths out some of the jank from earlier versions, though it’s still rough around the edges. Just don’t play it alone at night.
