About Pocky & Rocky 2 (beta)
Pocky & Rocky 2 came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994, developed and published by Natsume. It was part of that wave of action games that really made the most of the SNES hardware, with detailed sprites and fast paced gameplay that felt right at home on the console.
You control either Pocky, a shrine maiden, or her raccoon dog partner Rocky, moving them screen by screen through forests, caves, and temples. Your main goal is to fight through these areas, clearing each screen of enemies before you can proceed. You attack using Pocky's ofuda talismans or Rocky's leaves, which you can charge for a more powerful shot; you also have a close range swipe to deflect enemy projectiles. The game is known for its constant barrage of enemies and bullets, requiring quick reflexes and careful positioning. It feels frantic but fair, a test of your ability to dodge and retaliate under pressure.
