Okay, so Pink Panther in Pink Goes to Hollywood is one of those weirdly charming SNES platformers that feels like it shouldn’t work but somehow does. You play as the Panther himself, sneaking and jumping through movie-themed levels—think Hollywood backlots, ancient Egypt, even a cheesy sci-fi set. The controls are a little floaty at first, but once you get used to his weird slidey walk, it’s kinda fun bouncing off enemies’ heads like a cartoon.
Some levels are frustrating (that minecart section, ugh), but the art style nails the original cartoon’s vibe. Also, the music? Surprisingly catchy. It’s not a masterpiece, but if you’re into retro platformers with personality, this one’s got enough quirks to make it interesting. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
