About Pebble Beach Golf Links (europe)
Pebble Beach Golf Links came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, a release from T&E Soft. It was part of that wave of early 90s sports games trying to capture the feel of a real course on the 16-bit system. You got a solid golf simulation without the flash of some other titles from that period.
You control a golfer from an overhead view, selecting clubs and aiming your shots across the famous course. The main goal is to complete each hole in as few strokes as possible, navigating fairways, bunkers, and the oceanfront greens. Signature mechanics include a three-click swing meter for power and accuracy, and a putt preview that shows the ball's path on the green. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the wind conditions add a consistent challenge. It feels like a thoughtful round of golf where every shot requires your full attention.
