Paperboy 2 on SNES is basically the same chaotic newspaper-tossing madness you remember from the arcade, but with just enough polish to make it feel fresh. You’re still weaving through suburban streets on your bike, trying not to wipe out on rogue skateboards or get mauled by dogs—except now the graphics are a little crisper, and there’s this weird bonus stage where you’re suddenly dodging UFOs? Classic '90s logic.
What I love is how the controls feel just right—tossing papers at mailboxes (or windows, if you’re feeling petty) has that same satisfying arcade snap. The new obstacle courses are brutal, though. One wrong move and you’re eating pavement while some kid laughs at you from his porch. It’s equal parts nostalgic and frustrating in the best way.
If you played the original, you’ll recognize the vibe immediately, but the extra hazards and smoother gameplay make it worth another round. Just don’t blame me when you rage-quit after the fifth time a rogue tire sends you flying.
