About Paperboy 2
Paperboy 2 came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, published by Tengen. It was a sequel to the arcade hit, arriving on the SNES when side scrolling action games were common. The premise was straightforward and fit right in with other simple, goal oriented titles of the time.
You control a paperboy on a bicycle, delivering newspapers to subscribers while avoiding hazards. Your main objective is to complete a week of deliveries across different suburban routes. Signature mechanics include aiming and throwing papers at specific mailboxes, and navigating obstacles like breakdancers, dogs, and rogue lawnmowers. The game scrolls automatically, forcing you to react quickly to oncoming dangers. It is notoriously difficult, with success depending on precise throws and memorizing obstacle patterns.
