Pacific Theater of Operations 2 is one of those deep, old-school war strategy games for the SNES that really makes you think. At first glance, it looks like just another hex-based WWII sim, but once you dive in, there's a surprising amount of detail—you're managing supply lines, air superiority, even naval invasions across the Pacific islands.

The interface takes some getting used to (those tiny SNES menus don't help), but after a few turns, you start seeing the bigger picture. I remember wasting half my fleet early on because I didn't realize how far planes could actually patrol. Lesson learned the hard way.

It's not flashy, but if you're into methodical, turn-based campaigns where every decision matters, this one's got some real meat to it. Just don't expect to finish a game in one sitting.
