About Ms. Pac-man
Ms. Pac-Man for the Game Boy came out in the early 1990s, a time when playing arcade hits on the go was still a novelty. It was published by Namco, the same company behind the original arcade game. This portable version arrived when the Game Boy's greenish screen was the standard, and it tried to bring the familiar maze chase into your hands.
You control Ms. Pac-Man, moving her through a series of single-screen mazes. Your main goal is to eat all the dots in each stage while avoiding the four colorful ghosts. The game keeps the signature mechanics from the arcade: you can eat power pellets to temporarily turn the tables and chase the ghosts, and fruit items appear in the center for extra points. The pacing starts simple but gets faster and more demanding as you advance, with the maze layouts changing to keep you on your toes.
