PGA Tour Golf came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, published by Electronic Arts. It was one of the earlier serious golf simulations on the system, arriving before the more famous titles that would follow. For its time, it offered a solid attempt at bringing the sport to the 16-bit console.

You control a golfer from a top-down perspective on the course. The main goal is to complete 18 holes with the lowest score, competing against the game's AI or a friend. A key mechanic is the three-click swing system; you press a button to start the power meter, again to set the power, and a third time to determine the accuracy of your shot. You also manage your club selection and account for wind direction on every swing. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the challenge comes from reading the greens and judging distances correctly. It feels satisfying to sink a long putt after carefully considering the break.
