Out of This World on SNES is one of those games that sticks with you—not just because it’s weird (and it is weird), but because it feels like playing through a sci-fi movie from another dimension. You start off as this scientist guy who gets zapped into an alien world, and within minutes, you’re dodging creepy creatures and solving puzzles that make you think sideways. The animation’s surprisingly smooth for a ‘90s game, and the whole thing has this eerie, lonely vibe.
It’s tough, though. Like, "die a bunch before you figure out what to even do" tough. But that’s part of the charm—there’s no hand-holding, just you and this strange world figuring each other out. The way the story unfolds without words still feels clever today. If you’re into retro stuff that actually holds up, this one’s a trip worth taking.
