I first played Othello World on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1992. It was developed by Tsukuda Original, a name you don't see too often. In the game, you control a character navigating a series of board-like screens, flipping your opponent's pieces to claim territory. Your main goal is to outmaneuver the computer opponent by turning their pieces to your color, aiming to control the majority of the board by the time all spaces are filled. Key mechanics involve careful placement of your pieces to create cascading captures across rows and diagonals; you must constantly anticipate your opponent's counter-moves, which makes each decision feel significant.
