Man, Othello World on SNES takes me back—this is the version I used to play for hours after school. You know how it goes: black and white discs, that satisfying click when you flip a whole row, and that moment when you realize too late you left a corner wide open. The AI’s actually decent here—not brutal, but sneaky enough to punish lazy moves.
What I love is how clean it looks on SNES. The board’s got this slight sheen, like real plastic pieces, and the sound effects are stupidly satisfying. First time I played, I got wrecked by the medium CPU in like five minutes because I went for flashy moves instead of holding the edges. Classic mistake.
It’s one of those games where you swear you’ll just play one round, then suddenly it’s 2 AM and you’re muttering “just one more try” at the screen. Perfect for when you want something simple but still need to use your brain.
