On The Ball is one of those arcade-to-SNES ports that actually holds up. You’re basically spinning this 3D maze around like a madman while a ball rolls through it—sounds simple, but the physics get surprisingly tricky. The first few levels ease you in, but before long you’re frantically rotating the stage, trying to avoid holes and traps while the clock ticks down.
What I love is how the mazes get more elaborate—some have moving platforms, others force you to bounce the ball just right. The SNES version keeps the arcade’s weird, blocky charm, though the controls take a minute to get used to. If you’ve ever played Marble Madness and thought “I wish this was more chaotic,” here’s your game.
