About Oh No! More Zombies Ate My Neighbors
I first played Oh No! More Zombies Ate My Neighbors on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1993. It was developed and published by LucasArts, a company known for its adventure games, but this was their take on a frantic run-and-gun. It fit right in with the SNES library's mix of colorful action and cartoonish horror, a time when local video stores had shelves packed with similar titles.
You control either Zeke or Julie, two kids armed with an absurd arsenal ranging from squirt guns and bazookas to soda bombs. Your goal is straightforward: rescue all the neighbors on each level before the monsters get them. The game plays out screen by screen across suburban backyards, shopping malls, and other bizarre locations. You explore these areas, fending off chainsaw-wielding dolls, giant ants, and the titular zombies.
