Ninja Ryuukenden Tomoe (japan) Game

Ninja Ryuukenden Tomoe is one of those hidden SNES gems that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s a solid action-platformer with a cool ninja twist. You play as Tomoe, slicing through enemies with quick sword slashes and tossing shurikens like they’re going out of style. The controls feel tight, and the levels have just enough traps and ambushes to keep you on your toes.
What really stands out is the art style—bright colors, detailed sprites, and some surprisingly fluid animations for a 16-bit game. The first stage throws you right into a bamboo forest, dodging arrows and cutting down rival ninjas. By the second level, you’re already wall-jumping and using special techniques, so it doesn’t waste time.
If you’re into classic ninja action with a bit of challenge, this one’s worth a playthrough. Just don’t expect an English translation—sometimes you’ve gotta embrace the kanji.
