Ninja is a side scrolling beat em up video game released in 1986 for the MS DOS platform. It was developed by Sculptured Software and published by Mastertronic. The game presents a third person perspective as players control a ninja character navigating through a series of combat oriented stages.

Players guide the ninja from left to right across each stage, engaging in hand to hand combat with numerous enemies that appear along the path. The character is equipped with a dagger for close range attacks and a supply of shuriken that can be thrown at foes from a distance. The primary objective is to defeat all adversaries in each area to progress. Scattered throughout the environments are collectible items called idols, which replenish the player's health and contribute to the overall score.
