About Nightmare Busters (unreleased)
Nightmare Busters is a Super Nintendo game that came out in 2013, developed by Arc Developments. It was originally meant for the SNES back in the 1990s but never saw a release until much later. Playing it feels like opening a time capsule; you get a colorful, energetic platformer that fits right in with the kind of games you would have rented back in the day.
You control two kids, Flynn and Scooter, who venture into dream worlds to stop nightmares. The main goal is to fight through side scrolling stages, defeating monsters and avoiding hazards. You can shoot projectiles, collect power ups that change your shot type, and use screen clearing bombs when things get too crowded. The game moves at a fast pace, and the difficulty is noticeable, with enemy patterns that require quick reactions. It feels like a challenging, straightforward action game from the 16 bit era.
