Newman-haas Indycar Racing Featuring Nigel Mansell (japan) Game
📅 1994 ✍️ Gremlin Interactive

Newman-Haas IndyCar Racing on SNES is one of those early '90s racing sims that tried to be serious but still had that arcadey feel—like if someone took a spreadsheet and gave it a steering wheel. You’ve got Nigel Mansell’s face plastered everywhere (because of course you do), and the handling’s weirdly heavy at first, like your car’s stuck in molasses until you figure out how to actually take turns without spinning out.
The tracks are flat and kinda basic by today’s standards, but there’s something oddly satisfying about nailing a clean lap at Phoenix or Indy. The AI drivers? They’ll bump you like they’ve got a personal grudge, which honestly makes it more fun when you finally shove past them. It’s not the prettiest or deepest racer on the SNES, but if you’re into that era of motorsports, it’s a neat time capsule with some janky charm.
