Naruhodo! The World (japan) Game

Naruhodo! The World is one of those weird, charming SNES games that never left Japan—which is kind of ironic, since it’s all about traveling the globe. You play as this little dude who hops between countries answering trivia questions, and the whole thing feels like a fever dream mix of geography quiz and adventure game.
The pixel art is surprisingly detailed—each country has its own little landmarks and quirks, like France’s Eiffel Tower bobbing in the background while you try not to flub a question about croissants. The trivia’s in Japanese, obviously, so unless you’re fluent, you’ll be guessing a lot. But there’s something weirdly satisfying about stumbling through it, like playing a board game where half the rules are missing.
It’s definitely more of a novelty than a deep experience, but if you’re into obscure retro stuff, it’s a fun curiosity. Just don’t expect to actually learn much about the world unless you’ve got a dictionary handy.
