About Nba Jam (rev A)
NBA Jam (Rev A) came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993, published by Midway. It was one of those games that felt different from other sports titles on the platform at the time, focusing more on fast action than strict simulation.
You control a team of two NBA players, running up and down the court to score baskets. The main goal is to outscore your opponent before the clock runs out. The game's signature mechanics include the ability to perform massive, gravity-defying dunks and the famous "on fire" mode, triggered by making three consecutive shots; when on fire, your shots almost always go in and your player moves faster. The pacing is relentless, with no fouls called and constant back-and-forth action. It feels chaotic and immediate, like a playground game pushed to its most energetic extreme.
