About Nba Jam (japan)
NBA Jam came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Iguana Entertainment. It was a time when arcade sports games were finding a solid home on consoles, and this one stood out immediately with its two-on-two format and recognizable players.
You pick a team of two NBA stars and play full court basketball. The main goal is to outscore your opponent, but the game is really about the over-the-top action. You perform massive dunks that can shatter the backboard, and if you make several shots in a row, your player catches fire, letting you shoot from anywhere with a high chance of scoring. The pace is incredibly fast, with no fouls called, so you can shove opponents to steal the ball. It feels chaotic and explosive, a pure rush of arcade energy from start to finish.
