About Nba Jam - Tournament Edition (japan)
NBA Jam Tournament Edition came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Midway. It was one of those games that felt perfectly at home on the system, a straightforward arcade sports title you could just pick up and play.
You control a team of two NBA players, running up and down a shortened court. The main goal is to outscore the other team, but the real fun comes from the exaggerated moves. You can perform massive dunks that shatter the backboard, and if you get on a hot streak, your player literally catches on fire, letting you shoot from anywhere. The game moves at a breakneck speed, and the computer opponents can be surprisingly tough, especially in later matches. It feels chaotic and over the top in the best way possible.
