About Nba Jam - Tournament Edition Easytype
NBA Jam Tournament Edition EasyType came out for the Super Nintendo in 1995, published by Midway. It was part of that wave of arcade sports games that felt perfectly at home on the SNES, where you could just pick it up and play without needing to learn a complicated rulebook. This version was specifically tweaked for the home console, offering a slightly different experience from the arcade original.
You control a team of two NBA players, running up and down a shortened court. The main goal is simple: outscore the other team before the clock runs out. Your primary actions are shooting, passing, and stealing the ball, but the game is defined by its exaggerated style. You perform gravity defying dunks from the free throw line, shove opponents to steal the ball, and the announcer famously shouts "He's on fire!" when a player makes three shots in a row. The pacing is relentless and fast, with no fouls called and a constant back and forth. It feels like pure, chaotic fun from the moment you tap the first button.
