About Nba Give 'n Go (europe)
NBA Give 'n Go came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, developed by Kaneko. It was one of the many sports titles on the platform, arriving during a time when developers were experimenting with how to translate team sports into a satisfying video game format.
You control a five man basketball team, switching between players on the fly to pass, steal, and shoot. The main goal is to outscore your opponent before the clock runs out. Its signature mechanics are the give-and-go pass, which lets you send the ball to a teammate and then immediately cut toward the basket for a return pass, and a turbo button for quick bursts of speed. You also call plays from a menu to set up specific offensive actions. The pacing is fast, and the computer opponents can be relentless on defense, making you work for every open shot.
