NBA All-Star Challenge is that early '90s SNES basketball game where you pick one star player from each team—Jordan, Barkley, Ewing, all the legends—and go head-to-head in half-court showdowns. The rosters are straight from the 1991-92 season, so don't expect modern players, just pure nostalgia.
Gameplay's simple but fast: you dribble, shoot, and try not to get your dunk stuffed. The controls take a minute to get used to—hold the button too long and you'll airball, tap it just right and swish. I always went with Dominique Wilkins for his dunks, even if his three-pointer was shaky.
It's not the deepest basketball sim, but for quick one-on-one matches, it still holds up. Just don't expect any fancy plays beyond crossovers and fadeaways.
