About Ms. Pac-man (usa, Europe)
Ms. Pac-Man for the Sega Genesis, released in the early 1990s, brought the arcade sequel home. It was developed and published by Sega, giving Genesis owners a solid conversion of the coin-op hit. This was during a time when having accurate arcade ports was a major selling point for home consoles.
You control Ms. Pac-Man, guiding her through a series of mazes to eat all the dots while avoiding four colorful ghosts. The main goal is to clear each screen of pellets, but the game introduces key changes from the original. New maze layouts appear as you progress, and bonus items like fruit now move around the maze instead of sitting stationary. The pacing is faster than the first Pac-Man, with more unpredictable ghost movements that ramp up the difficulty quickly. Navigating the tight corners while a ghost is right behind you creates a real sense of tension and relief.
