The PC version of the game included network play functionality, allowing for matches between two human players. Visually, the game continued the use of digitized sprites created from motion capture for its character models. Unlockable abilities, known through "Vs. codes," could be activated by both players entering specific sequences before a match, adding variety to the versus play experience.
