Monopoly on SNES is exactly what it sounds like—classic Monopoly, but with that sweet 16-bit charm. The board looks like it’s straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon, and the little animations when you land on properties or pay rent are weirdly satisfying. I love how the AI opponents actually feel like they have personalities—some go all-in on railroads early, others hoard the orange properties like their lives depend on it.
Playing solo is fine, but it really shines with friends. There’s something hilarious about watching someone’s face drop when they realize they just landed on your hotel-covered Boardwalk. The trading mechanic is simple but works well, and the music? Pure nostalgia, even if it loops a little too often. Just don’t expect any fancy rule variants—this is old-school Monopoly, for better or worse. If you’ve got a SNES and a competitive streak, it’s a solid way to lose a few hours (and friendships).
