Monopoly Game 2, The (japan) Game

Monopoly Game 2 for the SNES is basically the classic board game with a Japanese twist—think properties like Ginza and Shinjuku instead of Boardwalk. It’s got that same ruthless capitalism vibe, but the pixel art and chiptune music give it a weirdly nostalgic charm. The AI can be brutal, though—don’t be surprised if the computer players gang up on you with trades.
First time I played, I got stuck paying rent on a fully upgraded Tokyo Station while my little brother laughed at my bankruptcy. The menus are all in Japanese, but if you’ve played Monopoly before, you’ll figure it out after some button mashing. Definitely one of those "so bad it’s good" 90s adaptations.
