Milandra on SNES is one of those RPGs that just feels right—like slipping into an old pair of sneakers. You start off in this little village where everyone talks like they’re hiding secrets, and before long, you’re knee-deep in turn-based battles with weird mushroom monsters. The sprites have that chunky 16-bit charm, and the music? Absolute bangers.
What I love is how it doesn’t hold your hand. You’ll poke around for keys, get lost in forests, and probably die to the first boss at least once. But when you finally crack a puzzle or stumble on some hidden gear, it’s stupidly satisfying. The story’s got that classic "save the kingdom" vibe, but there’s a twist or two that actually surprised me.
If you’re into retro RPGs, this one’s got that perfect mix of jank and nostalgia. Just don’t expect quick saves—this is the era of scribbling passwords on napkins.
