Oh man, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie on SNES—talk about a nostalgia trip. It's basically a side-scrolling beat 'em up where you pick your favorite Ranger (I always went with the Red Ranger, obviously) and punch your way through waves of Putties. The levels follow the movie plot, so you'll be fighting Ivan Ooze's goons and even hopping into the Zords for some clunky but satisfying giant robot battles.
The graphics are bright and colorful, just like the show, though some of the animations feel a little stiff now. Still, there's something weirdly fun about mashing buttons to pull off cheesy special moves while the classic theme song blares in the background. It's not the deepest fighter out there, but if you grew up with the Power Rangers, this one hits just right.
Just don't expect it to be as polished as, say, Streets of Rage—this is pure '90s licensed game energy.
